Dear Parents,

I hope all of you have had a good holiday with your boys and family!

I wish to inform you that in the coming year, I would be the form teacher and English language teacher of 2Goodness. Ms Kay is the Chinese language teacher and Mdm Phua Loke Lin is the Mathematics teacher. With your co-operation, we hope to facilitate the boys in their learning journey as they embark on another fulfilling year of learning and growing together as a class!

2014 promises to be a fast-paced and challenging year especially in Semester 2 as the boys prepare to move up to Primary 3. I will be using the class blog as one of the communication platforms to disseminate important information and keep parents/boys updated on school/class matters. Hence, do check the blog regularly!

Below is what I would like the boys to bring over the first two days of school:

1. All subject workbooks/activity books, non-core subject textbooks, and files as listed in the booklist
-Kindly label everything with your child's name and class.
-All books and files collected will be kept in the classroom.
-CL and Math textbooks will NOT be collected. Kindly remind your child NOT to leave these books in the classroom.
-The Math teacher has requested for all the Math workbooks (2A Part 1 & 2, 2B Part 1 & 2) to be submitted.
-The subject teachers will advise your child on the type and number of exercise books required for each subject in due course.

2. A diary cum communication book
-Kindly prepare one with dates already printed.
-Your child will record important messages or homework to be done in this book.
-The teachers may also use the book to communicate with parents.

3. A simple A4 sized button file labelled 'Letters/HW File'
-Kindly label it with your child's name and class.
-Your child is to place all information sheets given by the school and homework assigned by the teachers in this file.
-This is to facilitate checking by parents and collection by the teachers.

4. An A4 sized box or plastic file
-Your child may keep his stationery or other personal belongings under his desk.
-It will be his responsibility to maintain cleanliness and tidiness of his desk.

5. Lock
-Your child may keep his personal belongings in the locker assigned to him.
-It will be his responsibility to maintain cleanliness and tidiness of his locker.
-Raids will be conducted regularly by me and your child will be advised to clean out his locker if necessary!

Kindly take note of the following:

1. Important information sheets will be distributed to the boys on the first day of school.
-Kindly check your child's school bag and the class blog for updates.

2. As the boys are making a transition from Primary 1 to 2, kindly check your child's school bag and assist him in getting it ready for school every day, at least for the first term.

3. Kindly ensure that your child does not bring unnecessary or expensive items to school. As most of the books and files will be kept in school, your child's school bag should consist mainly of the following:
*CL & Math textbooks
*Diary
*HW file
*Stationery
*Story book
*Water bottle
*Snack box
